Local

Our Savior's is involved in local outreach.

Homeless and Hunger Ministries
  • On the first Tuesday of each month Our Savior's monthly service unit cooks dinner for Churches United for the Homeless residents. Churches United offers spiritual ministry and emotional affirmation as well as a temporary emergency shelter for homeless people, and refers residents to appropriate services such as Job Service, Social Services, Mental Health, and Alcoholics Anonymous programs.
  • On the third Tuesday of each month Our Savior's monthly service provides the evening meal for the Fargo-Moorhead Dorothy Day House of Hospitality, a caring Christian community that provides services to the homeless and hungry.
  • Our Savior's supports the New Life Center which provides temporary shelter, food, and on-site meals to homeless men and families. The New Life Center provides travelers aid assistance and works with clients to achieve self-sufficiency.
  • Our Savior's youth participate in the 30 Hour Famine, a crash course in global hunger of fasting for 30 hours while raising money to help feed and care for hungry kids and their families around the world.
  • Our Savior's collects food for the Emergency Food Pantry.
Community Needs
  • The congregation supports Habitat for Humanity through financial gifts and hands-on work.
  • Giving Tree is a program that helps provide Christmas gifts for local families in need.
  • Our Savior's Good Samaritan Fund is a vehicle for sharing the love of Christ with people temporarily unable to pay for some of the essentials of life.
  • Quilters: Men and women meet in the Fellowship Hall at Our Savior's every Thursday at 8:00 a.m. to make quilts for those in need locally and around the world.
